Cookies problem in Windows 98(want to keep good cookies w/o opening & looking at each individual cookie)

Two Strategies. First, with Internet Explorer, cookies are saved in separate files in the cookies subdirectory under your UserUName in the Documents and Settings Directory. If you have visited PCWorld, for example, the name of the cookie will be your name@ www.pcworld.In other words, its pretty easy to tell where most of the cookies are from without opening them.
Second, you can go to the Privacy Tab in the Internet Options dialog box, found under the Tools menu, to fine-tune what kinds of cookies Internet Explorer will accept.that should help the number of cookies on your computer down to a more manageable number.

EMERGENCY RECOVERY

You have just finished your assignment or project. Then due to system instability,Windows suddenly do not respond and you have not saved  your application yet.You know that any further doodling will bring up either the blue screen of death or the ILLEGAL OPERATION error. Shut down  and your precious assign ment is gone. Now what?
If Ctrl+Alt+Del combination will respond, then you are fortunate. Check which program is not responding. Select the faulty program and click End Task. If not, select  Explorer and the clock on End Task.
Wait for about 20 seconds. There will be a dialog box stating that Explorer is not responding.Click on End Task again. Windows will do something like a "full refresh". Chances are,you can now safely save your assignment.

There is another browser around that we have never tried before. It is called IE Opera. Well,it WAS called IE Opera. To avoid conflicts with opera, its name was changed to Gorilla. And perhaps by the time you receive this tip, its name will have changed again. But....
Gorilla (formerly IE Opera) offers a multiple document interface(MDI) and offers built-in Google searching, privacy options, and ease of use.
